Building a sports calendar can be an excellent method for you to stay up to date with your favorite sporting events. You can generate a straightforward sports calendar on a sheet of paper, or you can create a more complicated sports calendar with decorations. You can use poster board, or any other material of your choice. If you don't mind spending a little money, you can go to an office supply store like Office Depot or Staples and purchase an already made whiteboard calendar. 1. Procure a whiteboard calendar or poster board. If you purchase a whiteboard calendar, you may or may not have the days of the week pre printed for you. If the days and month aren't printed on your whiteboard calendar, use a black marker or sharpie to put the days of the week in the appropriate location. If you decide to use a poster board, use a ruler and black marker to draw vertical and horizontal lines on the poster board. 2. Decide what sports you're creating a calendar for. Perhaps you're a baseball fan, and want to follow all 162 games of your favorite team. In other instances, you can create a multi sports calendar where you keep track of football, baseball, and basketball events. If you're going to have more than one sporting event on your sports calendar, make sure to leave yourself ample room to write events and times in the correct location. 3. Investigate the time and date of sporting events for your calendar. You'll be able to use websites like Yahoo sports, www.espn.com, or www.cbssportsline.com. These websites will provide you with schedules and times of your favorite sporting events. 4. Place sporting events in their proper position on your sports calendar. For example, if you identify that the Los Angeles Lakers have a basketball game on November 18th at 7:30 p.m., that information should be placed in the area of the calendar reserved for November 18th events.
